before the exam month of november arrived, there was october, and before october ended there was halloween. and on halloween night, we went to show off our *amazing brainiac know-it-all* skills at the quiz at penny black. we won a whole lot of drinks (1x rose wine, 3x jugs of beer) and ordered some more, so that made for a high spirited night. hur hur. i'm glad to announce that both team N*US A and B trounced "the others" in the 1st 3 categories of alcohol, shopping and music; too bad we're not couch potatos or jocks so we lost out on tv and sports. it was more fun than the strait-laced thing i'd expected, and when our powers combine, we could actually answer some of the weirdest questions around! ok, rather fewwww la, but still, we did quite well.

our localised celebration of oktoberfest at kr50... for the poor post exchange guys, i'm sure this was but a mere shadow of the past, but well, beggers can't be chosers, especially pre-exam beggers.

and then on halloween night, there was beer, wine, mirth and merriment again at the pub quiz. good stuff, especially since the booze is much sweeter when it's won and earned. clubbing with vampires, pharoahs, walking bedsheets, pale faced people with bad makeup made for an exciting night. the photos will come soon, but for now... i have to study for an exam in 5 days! fug.
